ServiceNow Specialist — Build the Platform Powering a Global Law Firm
About the role
This is an opportunity to own and build out the ServiceNow platform for a major international law firm’s IT function. You’ll be the technical authority on the platform — designing scoped applications, building automation workflows, and architecting integrations that solve real business problems for a large, complex organisation. This isn’t a ticket-queue role: you’ll be shaping how the platform evolves.
What you’ll be building
- Design and develop scoped applications and custom workflows that streamline business processes across the firm
- Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and internal/external systems
- Develop and refine CMDB architecture — CI management, data modelling, and relationship mapping
- Configure and extend core ServiceNow modules (ITSM, Asset Management, Mobile App, Service Portal) to meet evolving business needs
- Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions, working directly with the business to shape what gets built
- Partner with external consultants and vendors on platform development and design
- Maintain platform health, testing rigour, and documentation standards that support long-term development velocity
- Mentor others on the platform, helping drive development quality and best practices across the team
What you bring
- Hands-on ServiceNow experience, ideally with exposure to scripting (JavaScript, XML, JSON)
- Solid grounding in CMDB, ITSM, and core module configuration
- A builder’s mindset — comfortable moving from requirements to a working solution
- Strong analytical skills: gap analysis, process improvement, and translating problems into technical design
- University degree and ITIL certification required; ServiceNow Administrator certification a strong plus
- Comfortable working with global stakeholders and remote teams
Also part of the role
- Participation in the on-call rotation
- Platform security, license compliance, and access reviews as part of ongoing platform ownership
- Occasional overtime or travel as business needs require
- Involvement in the firm’s Responsible Business program
